Block 64 supports a global customer base and is experiencing significant growth. With existing environments spread across multiple public cloud providers, Block 64 sought to offload the operational burden of managing their cloud assets, allowing their IT team to focus on project backlogs and revenue driving activities. Specifically, Block 64 was looking for a partner with strong security and compliance expertise that could simplify their cloud environment, implement managed services, and meet SOC 2 Type II requirements.
Block 64 selected Logicworks, an Azure Expert MSP and industry-leading provider of cloud solutions, to consolidate existing cloud infrastructure into a new Azure environment that follows the Azure Well-Architected Framework and security best practices.
Challenges

Solutions
- Logicworks ensured SOC 2 Type II compliance with a multi-region AKS cluster that supported the necessary components of Block 64’s cloud infrastructure
- Logicworks implemented a complete end-to-end security model to protect all of Block 64’s cloud infrastructure
- Logicworks built and configured Azure PaaS database servers for each of Block 64’s supported regions to meet customer data residency requirements
- Logicworks migrated customer data from legacy cloud infrastructure to the PaaS database servers
- Using Azure Virtual WAN/vNet peering, Logicworks established cross-regional network connectivity for administrative traffic, while keeping customer data isolated
- Logicworks kept costs in check by building tiered architecture and automation for both batching workloads and dev/test environment
- The resulting Azure environment was transitioned to Logicworks’ managed services for continuity of care and 24×7 support
Results
Logicworks improved infrastructure operations and continues to provide 24×7 monitoring and support, so that the Block 64 team can focus on growing its business and generating revenue. With the 3rd party tooling that Logicworks implemented and configured, Block 64 was able to meet its SOC 2 Type II compliance requirements. Logicworks is also providing ongoing cost optimization recommendations to help Block 64 achieve savings on their cloud spend.
