Meet Ryan Hinton, a Sr. Solutions Specialist at Logicworks!
What is your favorite thing about Logicworks?
The people — they motivate me to keep improving and help me achieve my goals. Plus, they help make work more enjoyable.
What is your role at Logicworks?
I’m a Senior Solutions Specialist on the sales team, and my job is to provide new prospective customers the best products or services Logicworks has to offer based on their needs. I’m also responsible for growing partner relationships with AWS and Azure.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Part of my day involves prospecting or following up on leads, then qualifying them or moving existing opportunities through the pipeline. I also nurture existing relationships so Logicworks is top of mind for new business. Typically the rest of my day consists of calls with customers or various partner teams.
What is the most exciting part about your job?
I love that everyday is different. There’s always a unique challenge that each customer has, depending on their business and current constraints, so I really enjoy trying to find a solution that fits their needs.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up, I wanted to be a professional football player, but I realized that wasn’t going to happen, so I envisioned myself being a “businessman.” I’m not too far off from my original plan.
How did you get into the Cloud industry?
I had an opportunity though a college alumni program to do an internship at AT&T. I participated in their sales training program, which focused on their version of “the cloud.”
What shows are you currently watching?
I actually started rewatching The Sopranos from the beginning. I’ve only seen a few episodes when it was randomly on, so it’s exciting to watch it from the beginning.
Where is your favorite travel destination and why?
Stone Harbor, NJ is my favorite place to visit. It’s about as far south as you can go to the beach. I’ve been going there with my family since I was a baby and I have really great memories from those vacations.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m really trying to stay fit and healthy, so I’ve recently been working on improving my golf game. It’s a frustrating sport that takes a lot of patience and practice!
What advice do you have for someone looking to join the cloud computing industry?
Anyone joining this industry should embrace change and expect continuous growth, both personally and professionally.
